TEACHING

teaching philosophy

My teaching is grounded in modern and contemporary literary studies and informed by my research in poetry, ecocriticism, literary theory, and interdisciplinary work across literature, religion, and philosophy. I approach literature as both a formal and ethical practice, encouraging students to connect close reading with historical context and critical frameworks. Across my teaching, I emphasise clarity, intellectual rigour, and inclusivity, supporting students in developing independent critical judgement and confidence in their engagement with complex texts.
